Description
(Maranta arundinacea) This plant got its name by being used as an antidote for arrow poisoning. It has been known to aid bowel and urinary problems. It is also a fantastic carbohydrate and as a source of digestible calcium making it valuable as an element in the diet of children after weaning and of delicate persons during convalescence. This can also be used as a thickener in place of corn starch.
