(Mahonia repens) Was widely known to help digestive disorders characterized by an excess of bile and as an aperitif. Has also been used to treat jaundice, chronic hepatiits, syphilis, and scrofula. Considered a diuretic, mild tonic and gentle laxative and applied for various minor skin irritations. Purifies blood and cleanses the liver.
