Want an easy meal that will please your family? Try this simple combination with ground beef, mushrooms and onions. Even if you forget to take out the beef before heading off to work you can let it sit in water for a few minutes and brown when it is partially frozen.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups mushrooms – sliced (I use re-hydrated Maitake Mushrooms)
  • 1 medium onion – cut into thin wedges
  • 1 clove garlic – minced

Beef Gravy Ingredients (see recipe below):

  • ¾ cup cream
  • 1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ tsp Thyme
  • ¼ tsp Fresh Ground Pepper
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 TBSP Lucy’s Afrika Meat Rub
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes, noodles or rice (Pictured with DeCio Mushroom Linguini)

Beef gravy: Melt 3 TBSP butter in pan stirring constantly. Add 2 TBSP flour, remove from heat and stir in 10 ½ oz of water mixed with 2 TBSP of Beef Flavoring. Return to heat, bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute stirring constantly.

In a large skillet cook meat, mushrooms, onions and garlic until meat is browned. Drain off fat.

Stir together beef gravy, cream, Worcestershire and seasonings in a bowl. Then add to the meat mixture.

Serve over potatoes, noodles or rice.
