Creamy Potato & Leek Soup

In Maine and other eastern states Potato Leek soup is a staple, but out in this part of the country it doesn’t seem like many people know about this hearty and scrumptious delight. When you combine potatoes and leeks with my Oriental Citrus Blend you will find the taste is unsurpassable.


  • 4 cups potatoes – sliced (I like the peel on mine, but you can peel if you don’t)
  • 3 cups leeks – sliced
  • 2 quarts water
  • 4 TBSP Chicken Flavoring
  • 2 TBSP Oriental Citrus Blend
  • 1 TBSP Sea Salt
  • 1 tsp Fresh Ground Pepper
  • ½ cup cream
  • 2 TBSP butter


Simmer vegetables in water and then Chicken Flavoring until vegetables are tender (approx 45 min). Puree in a blender and return to pan.

Add cream, sea salt, Oriental Citrus Blend and pepper. Serve with warm fresh bread.
