Cajun Shrimp & Pasta

Toss shrimp in this recipe with our Cajun Spice Mix and give those taste buds a treat. A little DeCio pasta makes this the best homemade dish you can make. Serve with a nice tossed salad (hopefully fresh from the organic garden).

Ingredients:

  • 1 8-oz package angel hair pasta
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 TBSP Cajun Spice Mix
  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions:

Bring a large pot of lightly-salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until tender; drain.

Melt butter in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Sauté shrimp for 1 minute on each side. I like to cut my shrimp in half after removing the tail. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute. Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon; set aside. Stir in flour and Cajun Spice Mix. Cook, stir for 5 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk, and then cook until thickened.

Remove from heat, and season with salt and lemon juice. Return shrimp to sauce, and spoon over cooked pasta.
